Do you have a family history mystery? Was there a rumor that Great Grandpa George did time or that Aunt Lucy was a streetwalker? Did Great Grandma Bernice commit suicide and did Great Aunt Gladys really die in a fire? As morbid as many of those scenarios seem, they’re not impossible. Sometimes rumors trickle down to us through oral tradition, become twisted with time and turn into myth. And in other instances there are threads of truth. Often, big moments–whether they be good or bad–are caught on paper. Erin is happy to do a research consultation to help you assess a starting point for tracking your family mystery or go on the hunt, herself, and furnish you with a full report of her findings. This does not extend to ethnicity estimates or DNA analysis. ($85.00/hour consultation or $43.00/hour- 8 hour research minimum. Record Request Fees not included in hourly rate)

Erin provides guidance on research strategies tailored specifically to your needs via a one hour virtual mentoring session. We discuss, strategize and explore new record sets and skills. Post-consult, Erin sends a follow up plan that will help you to dive into your next steps with confidence. ($85.00/hour)
Do you lack time to do a deep dive into your ancestor’s life story? Do you have trouble distilling information across documents or grapple with the best way to share family history? Are you just wondering how much more could be dug up on your ancestor? Erin is happy to research an ancestor–or ancestral couple–and write you a detailed biography of her findings. In fact, with a biographer’s eye, a writer’s narrative muscle and a local historian’s skillset, Erin lives to bring family history to life. Allow Erin to track your ancestor from cradle to grave and compile information across records into a cohesive and accessible narrative. ($43.00/hour. 8 hour minimum. Do you have a specific genealogical question about relationship or identity? Are you unable to get to a New England repository and need assistance, locally? Erin would love to track your dead. We’ll discuss research goals and work-products that best suit your needs, then Erin will provide her research plan before going off to hunt for your ancestors in digital and physical repositories. Erin will provide a detailed research report for your records. ($43.00/ hour. 8 hour minimum. Record Request Fees not included in hourly rate).
